Our Mission
Rebuilding Trust & Transparency on Australian Waterways.
MarineTasker was founded by experienced boat owners and technology veterans who experienced firsthand the friction of finding dependable dockside trades. We are building the dedicated operating system the Australian marine industry deserves.

“Living aboard full-time in the Mediterranean and cruising foreign coastlines taught me a harsh reality: no matter where you drop anchor, sourcing dependable marine trades is a high-risk gamble of cash quotes, unvetted work, and zero accountability. I built MarineTasker to bring a long-overdue vision to life - replacing the broken marina noticeboard with the high-trust, payment-protected infrastructure boat owners, marine trade pros and skilled amateurs have always deserved.”

The Problem We Are Solving
The Broken Marina Noticeboard
Why traditional directories and word-of-mouth no longer serve modern boat owners, marine trades, or dockside hands.
For Boat Owners: The Black Box
Chasing contractors across multiple phone numbers, overpaying $180/hr trade rates for simple deck chores, and having zero visibility into qualifications or insurance before someone steps onto your vessel.
For Commercial Trades: Costly Dead Leads
Paying upfront directory fees for tire-kickers, spending unpaid hours traveling dockside just to quote routine maintenance, and wasting Friday afternoons chasing overdue invoices instead of turning wrenches.
For Skilled Hands: Informal, Unprotected Hustle
Relying on physical marina pinboards or casual Facebook posts for deck work, facing inconsistent cash payouts, and having no trusted platform to build a verified track record or quote fair dockside rates ($45–$75/hr).
The MarineTasker Answer
A dual-tier marketplace engineered specifically for boats: pairing tasks with either certified Commercial Pros or verified Skilled Hands, protected by planned upfront payment protection, pre-scoped work with photos, and verified credentials before work begins.
Core Pillars of Governance
Built on Four Non-Negotiable Standards
Credentialed Trust
We independently align with recognised Marina WHS induction and peak marine industry standards, verify trade licences, validate ABNs, and ensure commercial marine liability insurance is current before contractors quote.
Payment Protection
Payment protection is a core part of the MarineTasker roadmap (planned for launch, not yet live): funds are deposited securely upfront before trades travel dockside, and owners only release payment when the job is completed to specification.
Fair Market Liquidity
We recognize the difference between Master Shipwrights and general deck hands. Our dual-tier workforce pairs licensed Commercial Pros ($120–$180+/hr) and capable Skilled Hands ($45–$75/hr) with the right jobs.
Digital Asset Preservation
Maintenance shouldn't live on faded receipts in a bilge locker. Our platform binds completed work orders directly to the vessel's permanent Digital Logbook to maximize resale value.
The Rollout Strategy & Visual Roadmap
